The Justice Hema Committee was established by the Government of Kerala in response to a petition from the Women in Cinema Collective regarding the 2017 actress assault case. Its purpose was to document the challenges encountered by women in the Malayalam film industry. Led by Retired Justice K. Hema, a former Judge of the Kerala High Court, the committee investigated issues of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in Malayalam cinema.

The report was submitted to the government on December 31, 2019, however, it was not been made public.
